About Washington D C (DC) Lottery

WHEN WAS IT FORMED?

When it comes to the first ever tickets of the District of Columbia lottery being sold, the event took place on a Wednesday, which fell on August 25, 1982. The most remarkable thing about the ticket selling of this state’s lottery is that all the 10 million tickets of "e;Match 3"e; - which was an instant game – managed to get sold to the people by the sanctioned lottery agents in a matter of just a few days. This immediately led to an order being placed for 10 million more tickets, so that no one felt deprived of the high-demand lottery game.

WHO TAKES THE CASH?

DC Lottery is well-known for distributing the benefits and profits which it generates amongst all areas of the state. Ever since 1982, which is also the year the lottery was made available to the general public, about $2 billion of all the profits generated have been going to the District's General Fund, which makes the General Fund more capable of taking care of other sectors of the state, which include education of the youngsters, recreational places, especially parks, the safety and security of the general people, residencies, and even services for the elderly and minors.

The rest of the benefits are divided in the following ways:

Around $130,000 goes to the people who have won the prizes. $14,000 are given to the lottery agents. $6,9000 are distributed for the contracts. And about$6,500 are spent in advertising of the DC lottery.

GAMES:

DC Lottery results have changed a number of lives, especially because of the fact that they offer so many lottery games. Some of which are as follows:

In DC-2, which is one of the many games in the DC series, the player chooses 2 numbers, and then waits to see if they are the winning digits or not. A ticket of just $0.50 can help the player win around $50.

In DC-3, the player has to pick 3 numbers, and the best part is that these numbers can be played in literally three different ways, and there are nine ways to win the prize. You can win something as small as $25 or as big as $500.

In DC-4, the player gets to choose 4 numbers which may or may not be the winning digits. This game has eleven different ways to win prizes, and you can earn a jackpot of $5,000.

In DC-5, the players choose 5 digits and they can have 120 ways of winning. You can win prizes from $25 to $25,000, and even a jackpot of $50,000.

Powerball and Mega Millions are two legendary lottery games which let the players win jackpots of around $40,000!

In Lucky For Life™, once a player wins, they will get the prize every day for the rest of their life. These DC lottery winning numbers can literally change your life!

In DC Keno, players can win up to $1,000,000.

The Lucky One is actually a unique game in which players draw a number on the monitor.

Other DC lottery games include DC Fast Play, Race2Riches, Scratchers and TAP-N-PLAY.
