About Montana (MT) Lottery

It was thirty years back, on June 24, 1987, that Montana Lottery sold its first ever lottery ticket. Translating the idea of Montana Lottery into reality was not a piece of cake for Bob Pavlovich – the man who was behind its creation. It took more than a year to the creation of Montana Lottery after a referendum was passed, carried out by voting from the public. From the time that Mt Lottery sold its first ticket till today, its sales have seen a growth of about 300%.

The revenue generated through the Montana Lottery has been going to the Montana General Fund since the 1990’s. This fund is used by the government to support a number of state-run programs. Since its inception and till the present time Mt lottery continues to make winners and entertain people with all the fun through its lottery games.

Montana Lottery has joined hands with other states to offer Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life and Lotto America. The primary factor that has led to this is the small population size of Montana. Due to the small population of Montana, there are not as many sales that are required to create the number of jackpots that are needed. Hence, this is the reason that has lead Montana Lottery to join hands with other states for its jackpots.
